Shell Cooper is an intuitive artist inspired by nature, drawing inspiration primarily from her South African roots, her tropical garden in Costa Rica and the pure joy and therapeutic nature of Free Painting. 

Her work reflects abstract botanicals, vibrant colours, and a focus on finding the beauty in imperfection, leaving space for imagination to flourish.

 

Each piece is imbued with emotions ,memories, and the value of NOW, inviting viewers to connect with the artwork on a deeper level. Shell's preferred medium is acrylic and she loves experimenting with inks, pastels, markers, collage and oil sticks. She loves painting large emotive pieces.

Shell is an emerging artist having gone back to art after decades spent moving to countries and continents and raising a family.
